What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at AMI INDUSTRIES,INC?
Primary Purpose of the Job: Performs a variety of technical assignments that impact the manufacturing, test, calibration, efficiency, and application of the company’s products.
Specific Duties:
- Performs incoming/receiving inspections.
- Performs outgoing dock audits- being able to use gauges, micrometers and calipers.
- Perform PPAP Packages, run at rates and gage R & R.
- Must carry out duties per ISO/TS16949 and ISO 14001 requirements.
Required Knowledge:
- Understanding of control plans and process FEMA’s.
- In depth knowledge of quality processes and terminology.
- Read blueprints for dimensions of components related to our products.
Experience:
- 1 year experience in a Manufacturing setting.
Essential Functions:
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs incoming/receiving inspections.
- Performs outgoing dock audits- being able to use gauges, micrometers and calipers.
- Understanding of control plans and process FEMA’s.
Critical Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds and frequently carries up to 30 pounds.
- Maneuvers in, around, under, and about factory and/or laboratory equipment on a regular and continuous basis.
- Some of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
- Has computer skills
- Works within an automotive components manufacturing office and laboratory setting and is exposed to heat, cold, wet, and fumes/chemicals.
Benefit package is offered to full time employees after completion of 90-day introductory period which includes medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401k. Along with paid holidays, paid vacations and paid sick days. Wage will increase to $15.00 per hour after 90 Probationary period ends.
