Position Overview:
As a Medical Receptionist at our cardiology clinic in Santa Monica, CA, you will play a vital role as the first point of contact for our patients. Your friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and proactive attitude will contribute to the smooth operation of our clinic and ensure a positive experience for all patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming attitude upon arrival at the clinic.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the clinic's appointment calendar efficiently.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and update electronic health records accurately.
- Collect co-payments, process payments, and assist with billing inquiries as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, waiting room, and front desk.
- Assist medical staff with administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
- Communicate effectively with patients, medical staff, and other team members to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years Previous experience in a medical receptionist or customer service role preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using computer software and electronic medical records systems.
- Outgoing personality and proactive attitude; willingness to go above and beyond to assist patients and colleagues.
