Amicable Congregational Church, United Church of Christ is seeking a part-time Music Director to join our collaborative and creative ministry. The ideal candidate will be an inspiring organist or pianist and choir conductor who will work with the Minister and worship leaders to create engaging and meaningful worship experiences which include a wide variety of musical styles. Qualifications :
- Three year’s experience in directing volunteer choirs of all ages and abilities (additional education may substitute for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis)
- A positive and friendly attitude with strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating compassion and caring for all people
- The ability to work collaboratively and creatively as a team member or team leader
- Demonstrated planning, organizing, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of and experience with a wide range of choral and instrumental music
- Ability to attend weekly staff meetings via Zoom or regular planning meetings with the Minister
- Understanding of and commitment to the congregation’s Open and Affirming statement
- Ability to pass background and CORI check and conform to ACCUCC’s Safe Church Policy

Sunday mornings are required. Choir has typically rehearsed on Wednesday evenings, although we can adapt our schedules for the right fit.
