What are the responsibilities and job description for the Workers' Compensation Coordinator **MISSISSIPPI/LAUREL position at Amick Farms?
- Verify employment status with HR and insurance company for workers’ compensation
- Investigate, evaluate all workers’ compensation claims (incident report, attendance records, etc.)
- Communicate with injured workers to determine their medical needs and offer support during recovery
- Transport Team Members to appointments and home as needed
- Prepare, attend, and participate in workers’ compensation hearings, informal conferences, mediations and depositions
- Attend and participate in educational opportunities such as seminars, educational conferences and/or training
- Serve as a back-up/coverage in First Aid Station

- Technical skills include using software to create and send letters to clients, file paperwork and track team member information (Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, & Word) as well as program-specific software to open and track claims
- Excellent communication skills are necessary for interacting with team members, clients, coworkers, and other professionals
- Attention to detail is required as the information handled is often sensitive and can affect the livelihood of team members
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Workers’ compensation experience preferred but not required
- Bilingual preferred but not required
