Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and responsible individual to join our team as a Maintenance and Van Driver. The position offers flexible hours, with key tasks to be completed at schedule times. The ideal candidate will perform maintenance duties and safely transport elementary school children in a school van.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance tasks around school premises (basic repairs, upkeep of facilities, etc.)
- Safely transport elementary school children to and from school and field trips
- Ensure the safety and supervision of children during transportation
- Follow a set schedule for maintenance tasks and transportation routes
- Assist with loading / unloading of equipment or supplies as required
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the school van
- Conduct regular checks to ensure the van is in good working condition
- Communicate with school staff to coordinate transportation and maintenance needs
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must pass a background check
- Ability to work flexible hours, with some tasks requiring completion at specific times
- Experience in maintenance work preferred, but not required
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work with a team
- Must enjoy working with children and ensuring their safety at all times
- Nice-to-have skills: Leadership, Supervising, Customer service
