Job Overview

Summer interns will work on animal health related projects that are designed to understand the binding of organic molecules to clay minerals. The goal is to find out how the clay minerals can be used to improve animal health.

Responsibilities

• Study the binding of biogenic amines and neurochemicals to clay minerals using UV-Visible spectroscopy.
• Perform ongoing stability studies on animal health products using HPLC and GC chromatography methods.
• Record and analyze laboratory data, present the findings.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

Education

• Candidates should have been working towards obtaining an undergraduate degree in chemistry or biochemistry in the next 1-2 years.
• 1-2 years of work experience in chemical or biochemical laboratory.
  
  

Skills & Abilities

• General chemistry laboratory skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work with others in a team environment, willingness to learn new analytical methods.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to details, and experience with Microsoft office.
