Together, we work to support the community in which we live and work. For our Ammeraal Beltech Operations team, we are currently looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Tech you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.

Responsibilities :

Install, troubleshoot, and repair complex production equipment with minimum supervision
Enhance equipment performance, recommending improvements and implementing.
Able to Fabricate and Weld using MIG, TIG, STICK, Plasma cutter, and Oxy-Acetylene
Working knowledge of piping, valves, pumps, hydraulic systems, chill water systems, gas systems, pneumatics.
Able to perform maintenance and facility repairs and improvements with minimum supervision or direction.
Works from drawings, written or verbal instructions and sketches
Be able to troubleshoot and identify mechanical problems
Operate production equipment and check performance as required
Perform installation, set up, modification and relocation of equipment to accommodate, or to improve production requirement
Be strong on PM (preventative maintenance) procedures (capable of meeting standard PM completion rate of 98% or better)
Have proficient knowledge in use of computerized maintenance management system.
Ensure all job-related operations are in compliance with safety requirements.
Perform lock out / tag out procedure 100% of the time on machines / machines being serviced
Perform other duties as requested by Manager
Work in a safe manner, obeying all health, safety and environmental regulations. Report all unsafe acts and conditions to Managers / Supervisors and the Joint Health & Safety Committee. Understanding hot permits, confined space permits LOTO
Contribute to continuous improvement, productivity, quality, customer service, cost reduction, safety and housekeeping

We are looking for you to offer the following :

Previous relevant maintenance experiences in manufacturing environment

Strong Mechanical training and troubleshooting experience required.

Ability to effectively use computers and other technology

Ability to work at heights and in enclosed spaces.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to stand for long period of time

Read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English

Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

Excellent attendance

Capable of operating forklifts, scissor lifts, man lifts.
