What is this role and why does it exist?This role is essential to advancing the Ammortal Chamber’s mission of creating cutting-edge wellness technology that seamlessly integrates hardware, control systems, and software. As our product continues to evolve, we need a skilled and innovative engineer to design and refine electromechanical systems, enabling us to deliver a superior user experience.
Your work will focus on designing and implementing embedded control systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and leveraging advanced manufacturing capabilities to create systems that are efficient, scalable, and user-friendly. By taking ownership of critical design projects and developing solutions to complex challenges, you will directly contribute to the success of our growing product line and its positive impact on wellness clinics, athletes, and individuals worldwide.
Responsibilities- Design and implementation of embedded control systems in a networked fashion
- CAD package such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Fusion360 or similar
- Proficiency in Asana or similar project management software
- 1.5 years of professional experience in mechatronics or electrical engineering with control systems integration
- Experience with sheet metal design and electromechanical assembly
- Understanding of basic manufacturing processes
- Experience designing for integrated systems, including PCB layout, signal processing, and firmware development
- Experience in hardware-software integrated products
- Familiarity with ‘design for manufacture’ processes
- Electromechanical design and prototyping experience, including control systems like PLC
- Proficiency with software languages like C , Python and JavaScript
- Knowledge in control engineering and basic electronics (e.g., circuit design)

Pay, Location, Hours- Pay Range: $95,000 - $140,000
- This range is broad because we are considering a broad range of experience levels
- As a generalization,
- If you are in the 1.5-2.5 years of experience range, expect to be in the lower third
- If you are in the 2.5-5 years of experience range, expect to be in the middle third
- If you are in the >5 years of experience range, expect to be in the upper third

- Location: Mars Hill (20 min north of Asheville, NC)
- Hours: Flexible, goal-oriented schedule, typically 9-5 Monday to Friday.
