What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Coordinator position at Ammunition Depot?
Operations Coordinator
Department: Operations
Reports To: Director of Operations
Location: Kissimmee, FL
Type: Full-Time
About the Role
At Ammunition Depot, efficiency and coordination drive our success. As our Operations Coordinator, you will play a hands-on role in ensuring seamless workflows between our Fulfillment and Manufacturing teams. You will work closely with both managers to identify process improvements, enhance operational efficiency, and step in as a backup leader when needed. If you have a background in fulfillment, warehousing, logistics, and process improvement, and enjoy being the glue that holds operations together, this is the job for you.
Your Impact
• Process Optimization: Identify and implement operational improvements that streamline workflows in both production and fulfillment.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with the Production Manager and Fulfillment Manager to ensure smooth coordination between departments.
• Hands-On Leadership: Step in as a backup leader when either manager is out, ensuring day-to-day operations remain uninterrupted.
• Problem-Solving & Execution: Help diagnose bottlenecks and implement solutions that improve efficiency, with approval from managers or the Director of Operations.
• Operational Support: Assist both teams with inventory management, workflow planning, and standard operating procedures to improve daily performance.
• Process Ownership: Once an improvement is approved, ensure it is successfully implemented and adopted across both teams.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience in fulfillment, warehousing, and logistics. You understand how to move things efficiently and keep a warehouse running at peak performance.
• Strong process improvement skills. You have a history of analyzing workflows and implementing changes that improve efficiency.
• Leadership experience. While this is not a traditional management role, you must be comfortable leading teams when needed.
• Ability to build trust and drive alignment. You will work with department managers, not above them, so collaboration is key.
• Proven problem-solving ability. You thrive in fast-moving environments and love fixing operational challenges.
• Confidence & Respect. All staff report to their respective managers, but they are expected to respect the authority of the Operations Coordinator when executing approved changes.
