We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Retail Media Manager to join our dynamic team. This role requires a seasoned professional with at least 6 years of experience managing full-funnel Amazon On-site Media and Beauty retail media networks in a multi-platform, multi-channel environment. As a key member of our marketing organization, you will drive the strategic planning and execution of our Amazon media strategy within a consolidated agency ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for developing annual advertising strategies, optimizing media plans and budgets, and executing full funnel marketing campaigns. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including Brand Marketing, PR, Social, Digital, Sales, and Creative, as well as external partners, to bring campaigns to life and achieve critical business KPIs. Your expertise in media and performance marketing metrics will be essential in optimizing campaigns, uncovering insights, and driving sustainable growth for our brands in the U.S. market. Principal Accountabilities:
Strategic Media Planning and Execution
- Develop and execute comprehensive media strategies for Amazon on-site media (e.g., Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, DSP) and other beauty retail media networks (Sephora, etc.).
- Align media plans with broader brand and business objectives to drive sales, awareness, and market share growth.
- Identify opportunities to optimize media investments across platforms to maximize ROI.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams
- Partner with Brand Marketing, PR, Social, Digital, Sales, and Creative teams to align media plans with broader marketing and business objectives.
- Collaborate with creative teams to ensure the development of compelling and effective advertising assets.
- Work closely with account teams at Amazon and other retail media networks to stay informed of trends, innovations, and best practices.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization
- Track campaign performance metrics (e.g., ROAS, CPC, CTR) to ensure goals are met or exceeded. Leverage analytics tools to identify insights, trends, and opportunities for optimization.
- Conduct A/B testing to refine targeting, messaging, and media placements.
Vendor and Platform Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for retail media network partners, including Amazon Advertising.
- Negotiate terms and manage budgets with retail media partners to achieve cost-effective outcomes.
- Stay updated on new tools, features, and programs offered by Amazon and other platforms.
Leadership and Team Development
- Lead and mentor a team of media specialists to execute campaigns and build expertise in retail media strategies.
- Provide regular training and updates to internal teams on platform innovations and best practices.
- Foster a culture of performance excellence and continuous learning.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Leverage first party and third-party data to inform targeting strategies and audience segmentation.
- Integrate data insights into broader marketing plans to enhance effectiveness across customer touchpoints.
- Partner with analytics teams to assess campaign impact and refine attribution models.
Trend Analysis and Industry Leadership
- Monitor industry trends in retail media and beauty e-commerce to stay ahead of competitors.
- Experiment with innovative approaches to media buying and engagement within beauty retail environments.
- Advocate for the strategic use of retail media within the organization to elevate brand performance.
Budget and Resource Management
- Manage multi-million-dollar budgets across Amazon and other retail media platforms.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) while maintaining profitability.
Candidate Qualifications:
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience managing Amazon on-site media and retail media networks, with a strong track record of driving performance in multi-channel environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of media planning, execution, and optimization, with familiarity with Amazon Advertising (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, DSP) and other RMN. Experience using Vendor Central is required.
- Strong ability to interpret data and performance metrics to make informed decisions and provide actionable insights.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- A creative eye with attention to detail and appreciation/understanding of mechanics of brand building.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and
- Extremely organized and detail oriented with a keen eye for minute details
- Self-motivated and strong independent work ethic with the ability to work swiftly against multiple deadlines
- Adapts to changes & environment quickly, comfortable with a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work autonomously and manage workload to prioritize projects
- Experienced presenting to large groups of stakeholders
- Excellent team player, collaborator, and cross functional partner
- Strong project management skills are required to be successful in a multi-brand environment
