Supply Chain Manager - Groomers Choice JOB SUMMARY : We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. This role will be responsible for strategic sourcing and procurement of raw materials and finished goods, materials planning and inventory management, logistics, and production scheduling within a manufacturing and multi-site distribution company. The ideal candidate will drive efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure a seamless flow of materials and finished goods to meet business objectives and customer demands.PRINCIPLE DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES : Strategic Sourcing & Procurement : Develop and implement sourcing strategies for raw materials and finished goods to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and supplier , evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring long-term partnerships that support business , manage risks, and drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and lead times. Identify alternate sources of supply where Supply Chain Planning & Inventory Management : Oversee material requirements planning (MRP) and demand forecasting to maintain optimal inventory levels within the manufacturing facility and across a multi-site distribution Logistics & Distribution Management : Manage inbound, interfacility, and outbound logistics, ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and finished , carriers, and internal fulfillment teams to streamline transportation processes.Production Scheduling & Execution : Coordinate with production operations to maintain production schedules that align with customer demand, inventory targets, and operational , sales, and customer service teams to balance supply and , equipment downtime, or demand fluctuations.Continuous Improvement & Performance Monitoring : Implement KPIs and metrics to track supply chain performance, including cost (materials and logistics), inventory turnover, and service , emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation.QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or production planning, preferably in a Make-to-Stock manufacturing (experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a plus).Proficiency in materials planning, inventory optimization, and supplier , problem-solving, and decision-making
