We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and leading complex technical projects from inception to completion. This role requires a deep understanding of project management principles, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Essential Functions
Project Management & Technical Leadership
- Lead and manage multiple large-scale technical projects from initiation to completion.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and successful metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, remove impediments and roadblocks for the technical team ensuring minimal impact on delivery.
- Monitor project progress, prepare status reports, and communicate updates to leadership.
- Coordinate across cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical challenges and constraints.
- Advocate for best practices in software development, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Foster collaboration between development, QA, and product teams to enhance productivity.
- Assist in the adoption of new technologies and frameworks to drive innovation.
Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Communicate project risks, dependencies, and deliverables effectively.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive leadership.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum Experience
- 7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on technical project delivery.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA, JIRA Project Discovery, and other Agile project management tools.
- Solid knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and modern development practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Bonus Skills
- Experience managing cloud-based software development projects (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to drive Agile transformation at the inception level.
- Experience in managing budgets and resource planning.
