Required Skills:
- Desktop support
- Windows 11 desktop support functions
- Windows 11 migration and troubleshooting
- The rollout techs would receive the laptop and thunderbolt shipments (once every week or two).
- Receive the weekly “Worksheets” for clients.
- Win 11 migration and troubleshooting
- Update the firmware on the thunderbolts if required.
- Unbox the laptops and deploy the approved version of windows, making sure we had sufficient laptops by domain.
- Add additional memory as required.
- Pre-load software based upon the Worksheets provided by the rollout coordinator.
- Confirm proper build (we still have a significant failure rate for windows builds).
- Label and Ship laptops to office mailrooms or store in tech lounge for pickup.
- Update ServiceNow: assign new assets to the client and close completed tasks in the rollout request (we only maintained 2 active tasks in ServiceNow for the rollout request, either the initial task or the last task).
- Assist as required with troubleshooting the swaps.
- Receive returned laptops and keep a list of returned laptops for processing by the coordinator.
- Prepare outdated hardware for disposition,
- This position is based in Bethpage NY. Requires occasional travel to offices in Hicksville and Brentwood in NY
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Solid understanding of desktop support and related technologies.
- Proficiency in documenting business processes and technical specifications.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
