Job Title: Graphic Specialist/ Designer
- This role will be responsible for the design and development of client and Canals branded B-B and B-C assets in print and digital media for the Corporate Communications and Marketing teams. This role will collaborate with internal team members including the creative director, design manager, business partners and copywriters. Must be comfortable working on projects at all levels, from the smallest banner ad to conference graphics, and must be comfortable with a level of ambiguity as projects develop.
Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Help translate marketing and business objectives into clear creative work that is compelling, engaging and in-line with our brand guidelines.
- Explore, develop, and produce innovative and visually fresh concepts in partnership with content strategy managers.
- Apply problem-solving skills to achieve unique design solutions for branding challenges.
- Effectively present design ideas to Design Manager, Creative Director and other internal team members, as well as internal clients.
- Defends strength of ideas while remaining open to alternatives and further explorations that may be deemed more effective or appropriate.
- Collaborate regularly with all internal teams.
- Design and develop digital files.
- Delivers innovative design solutions within given timelines.
- Manages a portfolio of work with varying timelines.
Skills
- Graphic design skills across digital and print.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator,).
- Advanced proficiency in Canva.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint.
- Problem-solving skills to achieve unique design solutions for branding challenges.
- Remains up-to-date on current design trends, typography, brand identity.
- Effective communicator; comfortable collaborating and presenting to all levels of management.
- Project Management.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor s degree required, plus outstanding online portfolio that demonstrates understanding of print and digital design best practices.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
