Job Summary
Undergrads and graduates, looking for teaching experience? We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Piano and Voice Teacher to join our music education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piano and vocal instruction and a genuine love for teaching music to students of all ages. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping students develop their musical skills and appreciation for the piano. Hiring multiple candidates for this role. Part-time. Ideal for college students studying music and graduates with a bachelors in Music Education or Piano or Vocal Performance. Also a great role for music teachers and musicians seeking additional income in the evenings if you work during the day. Serving the Chariho community for the last 15 years, we do not micromanage and allow you to create your own schedule. Competitive pay for the area. Laid-back environment with passionate coworkers and community. We do offer makeups to our students as we value accessibility, so flexibility in schedule is preferred. Duties
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to each student's skill level and learning style.
- Teach fundamental piano techniques, music theory, and performance skills.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
- Create a supportive, compassionate, and encouraging atmosphere that motivates students to practice and improve.
- Maintain open communication with students and their families regarding progress and areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on new teaching methods, materials, and trends in music education.

- Opportunities to work with adults as well. Some of our most dedicated students are retirees, however our main focus is on beginner students elementary-high school.
Skills
- Proficiency in piano performance and teaching techniques.
- Experience working with children, including knowledge of childhood development principles.
- Ability to create effective lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Skills in special education are a plus, enabling the teacher to adapt lessons for students with varying abilities. Experience with autism, ADHD, depression, and anxiety preferred.
- Actively playing live performances in main instrument
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and parents alike.
- Experience in tutoring or childcare is beneficial for understanding student dynamics.
- Experience communicating with parents and students.
- A background in preschool education can be advantageous when working with younger learners.
- Strong social media presence preferred for assistance in spreading word about the business and helping find students
- Strong in-person communication and networking skills
