Come work with a local, woman, and therapist founded and run company! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Sign Language Interpreter to provide services in the school setting for the 2024-2025 school year! We are looking for to hire for a full time position.

Responsibilities and Duties
- The Sign Language Interpreter transliterates and interprets, through use of sign language, materials for the hearing disabled student. Facilitates communication between users and non-users of sign language.
- This position may also considering signing professionals with <3.5 EIPA scores as sign language para-educators
- Position begins ASAP thru the end of the school year with high possibility to extend to next school year
- 1.0 FTE, middle school position assigned to one student
Qualifications and Skills
- Thorough knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and Signing Exact English
- Must have State Authorization as an Educational Interpreter
- 3.5 EIPA or higher and/or National Sign Language Certification required for Sign Language Interpreter role
- <3.5 EIPA may be considered for Signing Paraeducator Positions
- Position begins January 13, 2025-June 2025 (and possibility to extend for 25-26 SY)
- Requires fingerprinting before starting
