What are the responsibilities and job description for the Para Educator position at Ampersand Therapy?
Responsibilities:
- Start date: ASAP
- 6.5 hours per day - 32.5 hours per week total
- 1:1 position with an elementary school student
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Applicants should have the following physical requirements:
- Occasionally: sit/stand, reach above shoulder level, stoop/bend, climb stairs, perform repetitive arm/hand motion including fingering/pinching;
- Occasionally/Frequently: lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull, twist, squat/crouch;
- Frequently/Continuously: lift and/or carry up to 10 lbs.
- Continuously: handle/grasp.
Qualifications:
-In person candidates only
- Previous school experience required
- WA Paraeducator Certificate
-Experience working with behavioral management with students
- Applicant must pass criminal background check
-WA driver's license
