We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Care Specialist to join our team at AmPharm LLC. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
About the Job:
- As a Pharmacy Care Specialist, you will serve as a liaison between the input, dispensing, and inventory departments to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of pharmacy orders.
- You will support nursing facilities, behavioral healthcare centers, and internal departments by ensuring accurate and timely delivery of medications and supplies.
- Your responsibilities will include generating daily cycle fill orders for daily delivery to facilities, managing and resolving incoming requests from facilities concerning pharmacy orders, and tracking and communicating with nursing facilities concerning equipment availability and delivery.
- You will also be responsible for obtaining medication prescriptions for scheduled medications, referring specific clinical questions to pharmacists, and managing medical records for selected facilities including monthly recertifications and MARs.
- In addition, you will conduct daily Visions/Framework audits, prepare all documentation and assist external auditors as required for Medicare Part D audits, maintain Pharmacy Issue Logs, and research and resolve all applicable issues related to log.
- You will generate and submit daily narcotic reporting as required by Tennessee Board of Pharmacy, research, manage, and track non-formulary medications and generates prior authorizations and medication change requests with guidance of pharmacist.
- Your other duties will include communicating information effectively to supervisor and others in a timely manner, maintaining proficiency with computer systems, demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness, and continually striving to improve quality standards.
Requirements:
- Three (3) years of pharmacy technician and/or other clinical related experience.
- Able to maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of pharmacy industry, Medicaid, CMS, and other state/federal regulations.
- Maintain established work schedule and effectively use interpersonal and communications skills, including tact and diplomacy.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and continually strive to improve quality standards.
