Ensure proper inventory valuation, process and transactional compliance, as well as providing necessary operational analysis around production variances and operational metrics
LOCATION
St Marys, Pennsylvania
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
BS in finance or accounting or minimum 5 years relevant experience in operational cost accounting/financial analysis. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, including standard costing, variances and inventory accounting. Demonstrated oral/written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally. Proficient use of financial systems/analysis tools and Microsoft office. Ability to analyze complex issues, develop appropriate action plans, deliver timely results and lead projects/assignments.

LOCATION

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Support multiple aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual financial close and reporting process as it relates to inventory and operational variances
- Analyze and maintain standard costs for raw materials, labor and overhead
- Ensure proper valuation of inventory, in line with Company financial policy
- Responsible for the planning and execution of the annual physical inventory
- Calculation of inventory reserves, and driving the processes to preclude excess and obsolete products
- Preparation of operational metrics, analysis and reporting of same to management
- Participate in cross functional process improvement teams to promote operational efficiencies
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and tools related to cost accounting and inventory control
- Travel as necessary
- Participate in the training of others
