This role involves installing and maintaining voice, data, and fiber optic cable systems, ensuring high-quality and reliable network infrastructure for our clients. Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, test, label, and document Category 5e & 6 structured cabling systems.
- Perform fiber optic termination and testing, including fusion and mechanical splicing.
- Install and maintain paging and white noise systems.
- Set up cable pathway systems such as cable trays, racks, J-hooks, or D-rings.
- Dress and route cables into telecommunications closets and work area outlets.
- Build out telecommunication and equipment rooms.
- Firestop various types of cable penetrations.
- Test, troubleshoot, and document test results for cabling.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in voice, data, and fiber optic cable installation.
- Basic computer skills and good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including days, nights, and weekends as required.
- Ability to travel, with travel typically from Monday to Friday.
- Physical ability to carry heavy loads and climb ladders.
- Experience operating aerial lift equipment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safety-conscious work environment.
- Must reside in the same state as the office location.
