Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and close projects according to deadlines and within budget.
- Conduct detailed site surveys and design advanced cabling systems.
- Prepare detailed Bill of Materials, Statements of Work, and proposal documents.
- Deliver technical presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to pursue and acquire new business opportunities.
- Understand customer challenges and objectives to provide tailored solutions.
- Estimate labor and material requirements accurately for each project.
- Ensure projects are implemented according to labor and material estimates.
- Provide project foremen with detailed implementation information.
- Coordinate work crews and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Manage material procurement and delivery to project sites efficiently.
- Track and document changes in project scope with approved change orders.
- Stay updated on industry changes and standards.
- Ensure quality and customer satisfaction in project installations.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders and team members.
- Manage project budgets and ensure financial targets are met.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Manager with a strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to run ERP reports.
- Experience working with small telecommunication components such as fiber optic strands and small gauge copper wire.
- Ability to distinguish different colors of small conductor wire and fiber optic strands.
- Intermediate proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints for designing cable plant configurations.
- Thorough knowledge of physical plants, building structures, electrical and structural codes, and routing conditions for cabling.
- Low voltage experience is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of college-level courses, preferably in computer sciences or business areas.
- For those with minimum educational requirements, a minimum of three years of direct industry-related work experience is required.
- PMP certification is a plus.
