Position: Project Manager – Engineering Systems
Location: Valley Green, PA
Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and are currently seeking a Project Manager – Engineering Systems to join our Cable Backplane Systems team located in Etters, PA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop project scope, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with sponsors, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
- Plan, execute, monitor, and control all aspects of multiple projects simultaneously.

Resource Coordination:
- Coordinate internal and external project resources, ensuring their availability and proper allocation.
- Identify resource requirements and communicate them to management with appropriate justification.

Process Management:
- Oversee and manage the phase gate process to ensure structured project development.
- Onboard new hires to the structured development protocol, ensuring adherence to established processes.

Stakeholder Communication:
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to plan projects, implement budgets, and oversee projects from design through validation to production ramp-up.
- Develop and maintain project plans and trackers at appropriate levels of detail, reporting project status to stakeholders.

Technical Leadership:
- Provide real-time technical leadership in a complex, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrate strong decision-making skills, considering all relevant factors and potential consequences.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related technical field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) are advantageous.

Experience:
- Proven experience in project management within engineering systems, preferably in the mechanical engineering sector.
- Experience managing projects from conception through implementation, including design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of mechanical systems.

Technical Proficiency:
- Familiarity with phase gate processes and structured development protocols.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.

Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and support to other departments as needed.
