Amphenol Custom Cable is a full-service provider of network and connectivity products and services, and focus on customer driven solutions and support. We have 2 operating divisions, AD (Assembly Division) and NSD (Network Services Division). Our Services Division specializes in the installation of low voltage Cat 5 and Cat 6 cabling for a variety of industries, including stadiums, grocery stores, theme parks, and hospitals. With four satellite offices (Tampa, Orlando, Atlanta and Charlotte) we have a highly qualified team of field and lead technicians to ensure the installations and maintenance of cabling infrastructure.
Overview
We are looking for an Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Orlando office. Reporting directly to the Network Services Division Director. The Operations Manager will be responsible for optimizing the efficiency of our operations, managing projects to completion and maintaining high-quality standards across all aspects of the business.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations in the Orlando office, ensuring that resources, personnel, and equipment are efficiently allocated to meet business needs and project deadlines.
- Solve scheduling problems as needed between Project Managers and Installation/Technician staff.
- Assist by providing input to corporate management on sales and profit goal objectives for the office.
- Manage, mentor, and lead a team including field technicians, warehouse, and project coordinators.
- Ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality installations of low voltage Cat 5 and Cat 6 cabling systems.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and client satisfactions.
- Manage budgets for field operations, labor cost control and equipment.
- Provide regular reports to Senior Management regarding operational performance, project progress, and team performance.
- Use proper care on all company assets to avoid misuse, theft, etc.
- Manage the material procurement process in a method that conforms to corporate procurement procedures while producing highly efficient material management for each project.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related filed. Equivalent experience considered.
- 5 years of experience in operations management, with a focus on low voltage cabling systems (Cat 5 & Cat 6), telecommunications,
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and experience implementing safety protocols.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced, technical environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects and ensuring on-time delivery.
- Ability to think critically and solve operational issues quickly and effectively.
