Job Summary :

The Accounts Payable Specialist receives, processes, and pays invoices from vendors. This position is present at the office location during key business hours.

The hourly range for this position is $19 / hour - Commensurate, dependent on experience, education, and skills. We also offer semi-annual profit-sharing bonuses based on company profits to share in the mutual success! In the past, these have ranged between 3.5% - 11.5% of annual salary.

Who You Are :

2 years of office experience

2 years of accounts payable experience

Bachelor's degree is sufficient in lieu of experience

Basic understanding of accounting periods and deadlines

Knowledge of construction accounting (retention)

Knowledge of purchasing

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing

Understanding of standard payment terms

Mathematical aptitude

Who You Are :

Receives and processes vendor invoices.

Communicates with vendors and company personnel regarding vendor invoices.

Assists in the preparation of weekly vendor payment runs.

Assists with matching purchase orders

Understands and can explain the invoice approval process

Imports data from extraneous software into enterprise software.

Handles miscellaneous emails and telephone calls.

Assist in the review, posting, and payment of employee expenses including reviewing supporting documentation and proper coding
