Job Description : Electrical Estimator
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will support project estimation and coordination, ensuring accurate and thorough documentation for successful project execution. Key responsibilities include :
- Analyze solicitation packages, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and other project documents.
- Compose bidding Requests for Information and submit in accordance with the bidding instructions.
- Utilize take-off and estimating software, including Bluebeam and Accubid, to prepare project estimates.
- Prepare scopes of work for subcontractors and complete subcontractor engagement.
- Execute good faith efforts as required.
- Collaborate with vendors, general contractors, owners, and subcontractors.
- Request bidder's bonds as needed.
- Prepare bid packages and submit accordingly.
- Maintain file management throughout the estimation and bidding process.
- Participate in weekly bid schedule review meetings.
- Participate in final bid review with management team.
- Facilitate a smooth transition (“hand-off”) to the project management team once the project is awarded, including attending project kick-off meetings when necessary.
