Traffic Controller

Amplex is growing again! We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Traffic Controller to join our team. This position involves managing the flow of traffic to ensure the safety of construction sites, workers, and the public. Key Responsibilities

• Direct traffic around construction zones to ensure smooth flow while maintaining safety standards for yourself, the crew, pedestrians, and vehicles.
• Communicate clearly with drivers, pedestrians, and site personnel to ensure proper and safe traffic management.
• Monitor traffic patterns and adjust signal systems or barriers to prevent congestion or accidents.
• Ensure all safety protocols are being followed, including the correct use of signage, flagging equipment, and protective gear.
• Provide support to crew members and report any safety hazards immediately.
• Assist with setup and teardown of traffic control devices and barriers.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Traffic Control Person (TCP) is required. If you do not currently hold this certification, we will assist you in obtaining it within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to follow and enforce strict safety protocols and guidelines.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check.

This position is full-time with a weekday, day shift schedule. The starting wage is $17 per hour, paid bi-weekly, with benefits available after successfully completing 90 days of employment. While no prior experience is required, candidates with a strong background in construction work are preferred.

Must be able to pass a physical, drug screen, background check, and have less than 4 points on your driver’s license.
