What is this role

As the Director of Insurance Product Strategy & Operations, you will be a thought partner to the Chief Insurance Officer, working closely with the executive team to define and drive company strategy. This dynamic role combines creativity and execution, spanning technology innovation and insurance product design.

Job Responsibilities

• Build and lead functions required for insurance product development including but not limited to actuarial

• Lead the development and pricing of proprietary individual permanent life insurance products with cash accumulation (IUL/VUL) 

• Act as the life insurance SME to all other departments including working with GtM teams to distribute permanent life insurance products, working with Finance on capital strategies and working with technology teams on designing the best in class customer experiences and data analytics

• Lead end-to-end insurance product development, partnering with internal teams—Product & Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Legal & Compliance—as well as external partners, including carriers, reinsurers, and insurtechs, to bring innovative insurance solutions to market from ideation through successful launch

• Beyond product leadership, you’ll play a critical role in advancing key enterprise initiatives, serving as the Chief Insurance Officer’s right hand to ensure strategic projects move seamlessly from concept to execution.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in life insurance including 5 years in leading teams

• 5 years of pricing and product design experience in individual permanent life insurance (IUL/VUL), FSA preferred

• Experience in driving complex cross-functional enterprise initiatives in a fast-paced environment

• Extensive experience working with senior management stakeholders, building trust, and communicating effectively.

• Strong relationship, communication, and influence skill
