Pay Range : $25-$27 / hour
Summary / Objective
Handle administrative tasks needed for the port administration department. Coordinate with the accounting department and human resources department.
Essential Functions
- Process payroll on a weekly basis.
- Prepare weekly payroll reports for the accounting department.
- General operations and ship line support to include filing, answering phone calls, data entry, record retention, and email correspondence.
- Update and maintain the vessel schedule per the Port Terminal Manager
- Prepare spreadsheets and analysis as assigned to support the port and stevedoring operations.
- Position reports directly to the Port Administration Supervisor. Responsible for general support.
- Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
- Operate the vinyl cutter to prepare custom signage as the port needs.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday on a day shift. This position often requires overtime.

Travel may / may not be required for this position.
Required Education and Experience
High school education or equivalent and 3-4 years of work with computerized systems.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in related field. Ability to use computerized systems, propriety PMA payroll software, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google, Profound, and any new websites / software as they are developed.
Work Authorization / Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain TWIC badge (Transportation Working Identification Credential).
