Summary / Objective
Responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing employee safety at work. Ensure strict adherence to OSHA guidelines to reduce work-related injuries.
Essential Functions
- Plan and implement OSHA policies and programs.
- Advise employees on various safety related topics.
- Prepare educational seminars and training courses on an annual basis.
- Review existing policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all rules and regulations.
- Work in conjunction with the HR team to establish new employee onboarding process for safety.
- Conduct risk assessment.
- Enforce preventative measures.
- Identify process improvements needed and make recommendations.
- Assess employee adherence to all rules and regulations.
- Prepare and present reports related to accidents and violations and provide insight on causes.
- Oversee facility repair, installations and other various activities that could increase employee risk exposure.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct reports.
Work Environment
Well-lighted, heated, and / or air-conditioned indoor office, production setting, outdoor / indoor shop environment, or enclosed vehicle with adequate ventilation and protection from extreme weather conditions.
Physical Demands
Moderate physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative or production / technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday on a day shift. This position often requires overtime.

This position does not have any travel requirements.
Required Education and Experience
One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and / or training, or equivalent education and experience.

Work Authorization / Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain TWIC badge (Transportation Working Identification Credential).
