Job Description :
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Extensive subject matter expertise and team lead experience with IBM z / OS mainframe and related tools / products including LPAR configuration, MQ Series, DB2 COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS and mainframe ISV software.
- Experience with IBM’s file structure(s) : (i.e. HFS, ZFS, and PDS’s), TSO, and DFSMS.
- Experience with IBM DS89xx disk subsystems including day to day operations, replication, flash copies and immutable staging using tools like Copy Service Manager (CSM) and others.
- Experience with networking technologies that support the mainframe, i.e. Ethernet, FICON etc.
- Experience with z / OS virtualization including zLinux installation and maintenance.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with various backup solutions and strategies.
- Ability to develop, teach and mentor other members of the team.
- Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to communicate applicable technical subject matter expertise to management and others.
