Accountant

Classic Recreations is a high-end automotive company that specializes in American Muscle cars.  We are seeking a reliable Accounting Clerk to join our team.  The ideal candidate will require advanced knowledge of accounting principles and be highly detail oriented.  This position requires someone who is able to work independently, as well as collaborate others, and has a minimum of 10 years’ experience. 

Responsibilities

• All aspects of accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax forms, report preparation, etc.)
• Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements
• Create necessary journal entries, enter AR, AP etc. and reconcile accounts for monthly closings
• Create invoices, draft checks, produce wires, necessary journal entries, enter AR and AP, and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare financial reports monthly for stakeholders
• Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
• Utilize accounting system to facilitate processes and maintain records
• Maintain document retention per company, state & federal requirements

Skills

• Proven experience as accounting clerk in moderate to large sized company
• Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations required
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
• Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
• Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online
• Previous experience with Google Drive is preferred, but not required
• Highly detail oriented with strong prioritization skills
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in the Auto industry is a plus
• Inventory Accounting experience

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year with benefits
