We are seeking a highly motivated and hunter-like Sales Manager, Not a Farmer with a proven track record of new business development (NBD) and successful account acquisition to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will have experience driving new revenue growth with General Motors (GM), other leading OEMs, and / or powersports, leisure, agriculture vehicle manufacturers .
This role focuses on proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities while managing key relationships to ensure long-term customer satisfaction. The Sales Manager will oversee the commercial activities for the GM account (or potentially a second top-tier OEM), build and strengthen trust with customers, and consistently work to expand the company’s footprint and profitability.
We are looking for a strategic, results-driven professional who excels in creating value through aggressive pursuit of new business opportunities and has the skills to represent the organization effectively to OEM decision-makers .
Duties and responsibilities
Acts company’s point of contact for commercial matters specific to General Motors / Ford accounts
Build and maintain strong relationships through direct customer interface
Effectively manage all commercial issues, price, volume and part number tracking, as well as price changes due to engineering changes or other commercial activities.
Monitor and communicate volume release information within the organization.
Develop new business from existing customers and actively seek new sales opportunities
Work with customer purchasing, engineering and cost optimization teams to present and negotiate commercial offers
Interact and communicate with customer through customer’s supplier portal.
Negotiate and review customer contracts.
Frequent face to face meetings with customers
Maintain price tracking documents for each customer’s programs and part numbers.
Resolve commercial issues with assigned accounts
Ensure timely responses to customer’s request for quotes
Effectively communicate all customer requests and requirements throughout the company
Effectively communicate all customer changes to pricing, volumes and design changes throughout the company
Maintain and improve company profitability with assigned customers
Maintain accurate and complete customer account information.
Occasional travel
1) Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field of study is preferred (Engineering, Business, Sales, …) and / or relevant experience.
Required Experience
1. 3 – 10 yrs experience in NBD within Automotive space
2. NBD experience with GM, other automotive OEMs, Powersports Mfgs. Farming vehicles Mfg.s preferred
