Located in near Montgomery, Alabama, company manufactures and supplies a range of welding equipment, including press and portable welders, welding guns, feeders, and transformers. The company serves major automotive manufacturers such as Hyundai and Kia, as well as various Tier 1 vendors. In addition to welding machines, company offers automation products and home improvement tools.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an Inventory Manager to support daily production workflows, track inventory levels, and assist with resource planning. This role ensures smooth business operations by organizing stock, monitoring supplies, and coordinating shipments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn about inventory management and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Workflow Support:
- Assist in organizing daily production schedules and workflows to meet deadlines.
- Support operational teams by ensuring materials and resources are available when needed.
- Monitor and update schedules to improve efficiency in production and supply management.
Inventory Management & Stock Control:
- Track and record daily deliveries and shipments to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Inspect business supplies and raw materials to identify shortages or overages.
- Assist in placing purchase orders and ensuring timely stock replenishment.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits to improve accuracy.
Procurement & Equipment Coordination:
- Assist in purchasing activities, including tracking orders and coordinating deliveries.
- Support equipment and supply maintenance by reporting issues and requesting repairs.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to resolve delivery or quality issues.
Quality & Compliance Support:
- Ensure all inventory movements comply with company standards and policies.
- Report any quality concerns or stock discrepancies to management.
- Follow standard operating procedures and maintain compliance with regulations.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain inventory records and update stock reports as needed.
- Document shortages, excess inventory, and discrepancies for management review.
- Provide updates on stock levels and operational issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Any major
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Valid J1 or OPT EAD is required if you need E2 sponsorship.
- Basic knowledge of inventory tracking systems, ERP software, or Excel (preferred but not required).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
- Willingness to relocate to near Montgomery, Alabama.
- Korean fluency required, and conversational English acceptable
