Cardiology/Electrophysiology Technician
AMS Cardiology is a large cardiology practice located in Horsham, PA and we are looking for a full-time Cardiology/Electrophysiology Technician.
The Cardiology/Electrophysiology Technician will work with 6 Advanced Practice Providers and 19 cardiologists performing clinical activities related to assessments and evaluations as well as diagnostic and therapeutic tasks for patients ranging in ages from 16 to 100.
RESPONSIBILITIES of a Cardiology/Electrophysiology Technician:
* Monitor patients undergoing stress tests in two of our facilities.
*Remotely monitor patients with pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders.
-Analyze and interpret EGMs.
*Interrogate pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders.
-Test and analyze devices for proper pacemaker and implantable defibrillator function.
-Analyze heart rate and rhythm diagnostic data and present information to the patient’s cardiologist.
*Provide the physicians with accurate data to help provide optimal care for the patient.
*Analyze 24/48-hour holter monitors for final interpretation by the physician.
*Efficiency in 12-lead ECG interpretation.
*Answer phone calls troubleshooting issues with pacemakers/defibrillators.
*Educate patients and families regarding device function.
*Ensure correct billing, coding and documentation of device interrogations.
*Oversee exercise stress tests.
*Review CardioMEMs HF system diagnostics and relay findings to cardiologist.
REQUIREMENTS or a Cardiology/Electrophysiology Technician:
*Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology or other related degree.
*CPR and ACLS certifications.
*Cardiology experience preferred but not necessary
*Experience with Microsoft Office 2013 Outlook, Word and Excel.
*High level of professionalism with a strong work ethic.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*An enthusiastic and trustworthy team player.
*Ability to thrive in a fast-paced office environment, working both collaboratively and independently, to meet deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously.
