Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to lead our team in providing exceptional care for critically ill newborns. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of care in our state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the NICU, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Implement and monitor policies and procedures to enhance patient care and unit efficiency.
- Clinical Excellence:
- Ensure high-quality, evidence-based care for NICU patients and their families.
- Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in neonatal care and integrate new practices as appropriate.
- Quality Improvement:
- Lead quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Analyze data and metrics related to NICU performance, using findings to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
- Education & Training:
- Develop and provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for NICU staff.
- Promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with hospital administration, physicians, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care and operational efficiency.
- Engage with families to provide support, education, and resources during their NICU experience.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Current RN license in Texas (or eligibility for licensure).
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in a NICU setting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and/or other relevant certifications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $173,000.00 per year
