Perinatal Sonographer – Permanent
Department/Cost Center: 530391
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Weekend/On-Call: No weekends or on-call. Occasional overtime during scheduled shifts.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $122,000 – $150,000 (based on experience)
- Sign-On Bonus: Up to $30,000 ($10,000 paid out over three years)

Required Qualifications:
- Licensure: ARDMS or RVT (NRP certification is a plus but not required)
- Certifications: BLS required; Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification is a plus
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in perinatal ultrasound required
- Experience with both clinic and inpatient scans is required
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all requested perinatal sonographic examinations as ordered by the attending physician.
- Acquire and analyze ultrasound data to support diagnostic interpretation.
- Ensure imaging quality aligns with department guidelines and policies.
- Utilize independent judgment to optimize patient care and imaging outcomes.
- Report equipment failures and maintain compliance with operational protocols.
- Generate and manage reports using PACS systems while assisting physicians in image visualization.
- Provide preliminary reports and communicate findings to the attending physician.
- Organize daily workflow, manage clerical tasks, and maintain a clean and prepared workspace.
- Prioritize patient safety, escort patients as needed, and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and privacy policies, ensuring proper handling of Personal Health Information (PHI).
- Serve as a liaison between patients and physicians, ensuring effective communication.
Additional Information:
The Perinatal Sonographer plays a key role in patient care, working under the direct supervision of the physician and in collaboration with the healthcare team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the sonographic laboratory, equipment performance, and quality assessment. Compliance with all organizational policies, as well as state and federal healthcare regulations, is required.
