About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Estimator to join our team at AMS Industries, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed estimates for commercial and industrial mechanical projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also be able to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Assist in creating plan and spec estimates, design-build estimates, and high-level budgeting.
- Analyze drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Develop intelligent and perceptive RFIs to address any questions or concerns related to the project.
- Perform quantity take-offs for ductwork systems and mechanical equipment, ensuring all necessary data is captured.
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in estimating commercial projects.
- Prior experience working with computer estimating software, QuickPen AutoBid preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC take-off and proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Project).
- Exceptional communication skills and strong math and analytical abilities.
- Able to read and interpret drawings and specifications, including ductwork plans, Isometric, and detail drawings.
- College Graduate or equivalent experience, with a mix of field and office experience highly desirable.
