The Project Estimator role involves collaborating with our estimating team to create detailed estimates for commercial and industrial mechanical projects. You will analyze complex technical documents, perform quality control checks, and develop strong relationships with sub-contractors and clients. To succeed in this role, you must have a solid understanding of construction estimation principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our clients' needs and expectations.
- Analyze and interpret technical documents, including drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure estimates meet client requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate subcontractor bid packages, ensuring quotes meet contract documents.
- Assemble material and labor costing information for our historical database.
- Formulate cost breakdowns from estimates for project managers' pre-construction budgeting.
Desirable Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in construction estimation.
- Proven track record in estimating commercial projects.
- Strong understanding of computer estimating software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
