We are seeking a highly skilled Project Estimator to assist in creating plan and spec estimates, design-build estimates, high-level budgeting, and general budgeting for our commercial and industrial mechanical projects. As a key member of our estimating team, you will be responsible for analyzing drawings and specifications, performing quantity take-offs, and assembling accurate and well-organized estimates.
About the Role:
- Analyze complex technical documents, including drawings and specifications.
- Perform thorough quality control checks to ensure accuracy and attention to detail.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with sub-contractors and clients.
- Prepare and coordinate subcontractor bid packages, ensuring quotes meet contract documents.
- Assemble material and labor costing information for our historical database.
- Formulate cost breakdowns from estimates for project managers' pre-construction budgeting.
- Collaborate with other estimators on multi-trade proposals.
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in construction estimation.
- Proven track record in estimating commercial projects.
- Strong understanding of computer estimating software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Exceptional communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical documents.
