Salary/Payrate: $93K-$135K annual with bonus and AWESOME benefits, including pretax commuter benefits!
Work Environment: Hybrid - Mon and Fri are remote with Tuesday through Thursday onsite
Hours: 9AM – 5PM with 1 hour lunch
Term: Permanent – Non-Exempt Role

Job Description
A well-established law firm is growing and adding 2 new Bankruptcy Paralegal’s to support its nationwide creditor-focused practice. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys with all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings, including document preparation, filing, case management, and hearing support. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities And Essential Functions
- Prepare, file, and serve pleadings in federal bankruptcy courts, including New Jersey and New York.
- Track deadlines, manage case calendars, and maintain case files.
- Research and interpret local bankruptcy rules and procedures.
- Prepare and file proofs of claim, track claims, and assist in the claim’s reconciliation process.
- Draft various court documents, including retention and fee applications.
- Monitor case dockets to identify, summarize, and circulate relevant filings.
- Assist attorneys with hearing and trial preparation, including coordinating appearances and preparing materials.
- Conduct market research, fact-checking, and investigative tasks related to bankruptcy and restructuring cases.
- Communicate with claims agents, court staff, and clients regarding case developments.
- Maintain time records for billable hours, review billing statements, and assist in fee application preparation.
- Provide general administrative and case support as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; paralegal certificate preferred.
- Strong knowledge of bankruptcy court procedures and filing systems.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.
Salary : $93,000 - $135,000
