Job Description
Our client, a prestigious international law firm, is seeking a Senior Billing Coordinator to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple complex billing and client analysis projects.
- Review outstanding balance reports and proactively address trouble spots.
- Prepare bills and internal forms, including all necessary backup documentation.
- Implement and coordinate Client Accounting procedures, processes, and goals.
- Ensure timely preparation of client bills and follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Respond to inquiries from clients, attorneys, and support staff promptly and professionally.
- Provide relevant information, guidance, and support to colleagues.
- Foster strong internal and external work team relationships.
- Collaborate with supervisors to streamline departmental workflow and develop creative solutions.
- Communicate and escalate issues as necessary.
- Identify training and coaching needs within the department and communicate them to supervisors.
- Train, mentor, and assist Client Accounting Assistants and Coordinators as needed.
- Act as a leader in the absence of a supervisor/manager.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date files for partners and clients.
- Continuously seek to enhance knowledge of Client Accounting procedures and processes.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Use Firm resources efficiently and responsibly.
- Adhere to Firm operations, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proficient in firm computer software programs (e.g., Aderant, Outlook, Excel, Word) with the ability to learn new systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and planning abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capable of managing multiple projects with shifting priorities.
- Skilled in handling sensitive matters with confidentiality and discretion.
- Able to work effectively in demanding, fast-paced environments, both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adjust work hours to meet operational and business needs.
Experience/Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of five years of legal billing experience, including account analysis.
- Experience with Aderant, Elite, or 3E billing software required.
Salary : $105,000 - $120,000
