What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Administrator position at AmSea?
Will work directly with KDH & ARM finance and operations as well as the ASC accounting team. The position will communicate directly with customers and be responsible for accurately generating warehouse receipts, placing intake/outtake orders, and producing order instructions for the operational team. He/she will audit records from time-to-time to ensure administrative duties are completed in an accurate, timely, and efficient manner. Position will assist both operations and accounting departments with invoicing and reporting duties as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities |
- Post KDH, KIF AR invoices within the SAP accounting system
- Enter AP invoices within Aavenir invoiceflow for payment out of SAP accounting system.
- Organize customer billing support for all logistic entities.
- Maintain files for accounts payable, accounts receivable and other documents.
- Support operations team in Dutch Harbor with data entry into Warehouse Management System
- Respond to outside agencies requests, including invoices, payment and other issues that arise.
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements to accounting records and pursue resolution of reconciling items.
- Maintain other daily tasks within the SAP/Accounting software.
- Maintain business license and annual report notebook for local, state, and federal filings.
- Assisting accounting department with billing inquiries/collection of payments as needed
- Assist with reconciling inventory/accounts with both customers and warehouse staff.
- Make deposits and record incoming KDH receipts for daily cash reconciliation.
- Work with customers and ASC accounting to resolve any billing questions/issues.
- Be point of contact to advise vendors of KDH payments issued.
- Generating reports/documentation for management as directed
- Retrieve mail daily and distribute accordingly.
- Other projects/assignments, as needed.

Education/Experience Required |
A college degree desired but not required if experience met.
1 – 2 years’ experience as an accounting assistant or clerk position
Additional financial accounting knowledge desired

Anticipated hours are: Monday – Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Compensation: $58,000 - $68,000/DOE - Non-Exempt
