AMSOIL is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to join our team at the Milwaukee plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of all incoming and outgoing shipments. This role involves managing up to 4 employees.
Core Responsibilities :
- Supervise department personnel, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met.
- Train, coach, and motivate employees to perform at their best.
- Manage dock operations, including shipping, receiving, and hazardous material handling.
- Oversee equipment inspections, audits, and maintenance for forklifts, pallet jacks, and loading docks.
- Ensure all paperwork (BOLs, manifests, packing slips) are accurate and timely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe customer-visit ready workspace.
- Enforce policies, approve time records and schedules, and handle disciplinary actions when needed.
- Collaborate with Scheduling, HR, and Safety to achieve department goals.
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of warehouse processes and layouts, utilizing lean methodologies to optimize space, reduce waste, improve inventory accuracy, and improve efficiency.
- Support inventory control teams with cycle counts and timely receipts of inbound materials.
