What are the responsibilities and job description for the Endoscopy Technician position at AMSURG, LLC?
POSITION SUMMARY:
A Full time GI tech for 4 procedure room center. Functions cooperatively with physicians and team members exhibiting
teamwork characteristics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing procedure rooms and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Set-up, collaboration, and maintenance of endoscopic instruments and accessories
- Assisting physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies and EGDs
- Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and disinfection of endoscopic instruments in accordance with protocols
- Monitoring patient comfort and safety during procedures
- Documentation of procedure details and maintaining accurate patient records
- Managing inventory and restocking supplies
- Maintaining training and education on current standards of GI practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school Diploma or equivalent
• BLS certification
• One (1) year experience as a endoscopy technologist (preferred)
Must pass a background check and drug screen.
