What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Engineer Intern position at AMT Engineering?
AMT, LLC (AMT) is seeking a highly motivated and diverse Civil Engineer Intern to join the engineering team in our Washington, DC office for the 2025 internship period. This is a paid full-time position with an anticipated duration of May through August 2025 (flexible) and has the potential to transition into a Full-Time Role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team leaders, with partnerships with other engineering staff.
\n- Support various project tasks, including regulatory requirements/reviews, research, procurement support, etc.;
- Perform data entry, management, evaluation, and presentation;
- Support the preparation of reports, plans, and specifications for clients;
- May work on engineering field assignments as needed;
- May work on survey field assignments as needed;
- Will be supported by leaders, mentors, and teammates;
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.
- Must be at least 18 years old;
- Pursuing Bachelor or Associates Degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering or related field;
- Minimum GPA of 3.0;
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills;
- Self-motivated, detail oriented person;
- AutoCAD experience is preferred;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point); and
- Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow.
