Job Summary
As a Senior Accountant in our client's Client Accounting Services department, you’ll build upon your accounting expertise to oversee high-level clients across a variety of industries. You’ll have your own clients to manage and will ensure tasks are completed by the right people, at the right time, with the right information. Your appreciation for the leadership role will keep things moving while providing premium service to your clients and your colleagues.
To truly thrive, you’ll also work as part of the team to collaborate and brainstorm on projects to ensure everyone is successful in their role. Your knowledge of accounting concepts and procedures from previous experience in the accounting field will add value to the team. Most important, you’ll keep the client’s wants and needs as top priority to become their trusted advisor.
Responsibilities
- Manages and oversees daily operations :
- accounts payable / receivable
- cash receipts
- general ledger
- payroll processing
- account reconciliations
- payroll sales & mill tax
- fixed asset activity
- Plan, assign, and review client projects
- Provide input into department and staff goal-setting
- Develop and document business processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Support month end and year end close processes, general ledger functions, and posting adjusting journal entries
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures to improve efficiencies
