Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Associate I to join our food manufacturing team in San Clemente, CA. As an Associate, you’ll play a vital role in our store-picking process, including receiving, assembling, packaging, and shipping food products to customers. This position involves working in temperature-controlled environments, following all safety and health standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Order Fulfillment: Select and package products based on customer orders.
• Technology Use: Operate handheld devices to scan, sort, and prepare orders.
• Quality Control: Inspect products for damage or defects prior to shipment.
• Training and Variety: Opportunity to cross-train and learn new roles, including work with conveyor lines, assembly, receiving, shipping, and inventory.
• Equipment Operation: Operate IT equipment in at least two departments.
• Food Packaging: Follow prescribed processes to assemble kits, ensuring deviations are approved.
• Inventory Management: Rotate and check ingredients for freshness, verify delivery accuracy, and sanitize items as required.
• Workplace Maintenance: Keep work area clean and follow “clean-as-you-go” practices.
• Documentation: Prepare and manage paperwork associated with food preparation and packaging.
• Safety & GMP Compliance: Follow and champion Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and report any issues related to food safety, quality, or equipment.

Skills and Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 6 months in food manufacturing with knowledge of common procedures, equipment, and GMPs.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with using a scan gun and other handheld devices.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift bins (20-50 lbs), move quickly across the floor, and work in a 38-degree environment.
• Math & Literacy: Ability to read English and perform basic math for quantity checks.
• General Skills: Proficient with basic keyboarding; food manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Immediate Availability: Able to start immediately.

Education

• High School diploma or GED preferred.

Dress Code

• No Face Piercings: Must be removable.
• Footwear: No slides, Crocs, or sandals allowed.
