Summary:
The Sales Engineer / Sales Account Manager will oversee sales efforts, driving new business opportunities and maintaining existing customer relationships. This role will involve collaboration across departments (engineering, operations, quality, inside sales, and accounting) to ensure customer needs are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of customer, competition, pricing, and compliance, contributing to a high win rate for new business pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for new business inquiries and manage the proposal process.
- Evaluate bids, coordinate proposals, and track new business opportunities.
- Review and ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Act as Program Manager for new business until handoff to project teams.
- Provide guidance to the Customer Service Team and assist with contract review and training.
- Conduct customer visits to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities.
- Prepare sales forecasts, conduct variance analysis, and assist with profitability analysis.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering or Business (Aviation preferred).
- 2 years of experience in technical OEM sales, contract administration, or customer relations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and technical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to travel 30-50%, including North America, Central and South America, and Europe.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs, with frequent walking, bending, and reaching.
- Regular travel required to support customers.
Salary : $100,000 - $135,000
