You will contribute to developing and following established procedures and processes in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Raw Stock Management
- Receive and verify incoming raw stock against documentation for accuracy in identification and quantity.
- Load/unload trucks and store raw materials in designated areas.
- Identify and code raw materials; operate saws to cut materials to specifications.
- Perform minor equipment repairs and report critical shortages or issues.
- Issue jobs per schedule and update shop floor, MRP, and other systems.
- Identify parts using appropriate methods and equipment as specified by blueprints or job travelers.
- Mark parts with precise dimensions and locations based on specifications.
- Prepare parts/materials for safe shipment, including necessary paperwork and computer-generated labels.
- Follow shipping instructions based on company or customer specifications.
- Prepare air bills, bills of lading, and sales order forms; coordinate with carriers for rates, dispatch, and shipment tracking.
- Accept shipments, verify documentation, and forward materials to appropriate teams.
- Weigh or count parts and update system records accurately.
- Receive and inspect materials, identify parts by number or type, and store items properly.
- Pick and prepare stock to fulfill orders; conduct inventory counts.
- Maintain accurate records using computer systems and operate advanced Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS) functions, as applicable.
- Clean and degrease parts/equipment following established procedures.
- Maintain and monitor cleaning solutions and oil parts to prevent rust or corrosion.
- Experience: At least two years of related product support experience or equivalent skills.
- Certifications: Forklift operator certification may be required.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations and computer terminal operations.
- Manual dexterity and ability to read/understand technical documents.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Teamwork: Must work effectively in a team and contribute as a participative team player.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and ability to operate moving and saw equipment.
