Job Summary :
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves maintaining payroll records, addressing employee payroll inquiries, and coordinating with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Process payroll for employees on a [weekly / bi-weekly / monthly] basis.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Maintain payroll records, including tax filings, direct deposit information, and benefits deductions.
- Stay updated with federal, state, and local payroll regulations to ensure compliance.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management review.
- Assist in year-end payroll processes, including W-2 and 1099 preparation.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies, tax withholdings, and direct deposit issues.
- Work closely with HR and Finance to ensure proper benefits deductions and payroll adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws.
- Process terminations, including final paychecks and severance payments.
